Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Dearborn). They came out on top against the Conner Cougars by a score of 75-65 on Saturday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 135th in Indiana, while the Cougars are ranked 44th in Kentucky).

South Dearborn's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Christian, who went 8-for-17 on his way to 21 points along with eight boards and four steals. Wyatt Adams was another key player, almost dropping a triple-double with 16 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists.

South Dearborn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

South Dearborn pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points over those games. As for Conner, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-7.

Looking ahead, South Dearborn will face off against South Ripley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Ripley will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something South Dearborn surely won't give up without a fight. As for Conner, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-69 victory against Newport on the 12th.
