Basketball Recap: Brady Briggs' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tamarac over Hoosick Falls

Tamarac lost against Hoosick Falls back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tamarac Bengals received a blow as they fell 56-41 to the Hoosick Falls Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Panthers are ranked 105th).

Tamarac's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Briggs, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Price, who put up eight points and five rebounds.

Tamarac's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Hoosick Falls, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Tamarac didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-56 loss against Voorheesville on the 22nd. As for Hoosick Falls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-31 win against North Warren Central on the 30th.
