RICHFIELD, Ohio - the Knights scored 28 points in the third quarter to secure a big 49-7 victory over Revere (Richfield, Ohio) on Saturday.
Nordonia scored on a touchdown pass by
David Murray to
Alex Alders, a defensive touchdown, a touchdown run by
Denzel Ward and a Murray touchdown pass to
Chase Ryba in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a
Sterling Brabson touchdown run in the second quarter, NHS led 14-7 at the half.
The Macedonia school grew its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. The Knights scored four times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Murray to Alders.
With the win Nordonia extended its winning streak to eight games. Nordonia defeated Tallmadge 48-14 last week.
Brabson stood out for NHS in the win. The senior wide receiver ran for two touchdowns.
Revere's lone touchdown came on a 7-yard run by Chase Costanzo in the first quarter.
The Macedonia school went into the matchup giving up only 14.1 points per game.
A 40-10 Nordonia victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
Revere (1-7) goes up against Cloverleaf in a Suburban game matchup next week, while Nordonia (8-0) locks horns with Highland also in a Suburban game.
