Basketball Game Preview: Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes vs. Archbishop Carroll Bulldogs

The Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes will take on the Archbishop Carroll Bulldogs in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses dating back to last season for Somerset Academy South Homestead and four for Archbishop Carroll.

Last Thursday, Somerset Academy South Homestead took a blow against Somerset Academy (Silver Palms), falling 47-10.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Carroll played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 35-14 to Colonial Christian. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 442nd, while the Patriots are ranked 208th).

Somerset Academy South Homestead's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Archbishop Carroll, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Somerset Academy South Homestead against Archbishop Carroll in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 61-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Somerset Academy South Homestead since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
