Basketball Recap: Grand County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

If Gunnison Valley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Grand County, they should've done a better job of containing Trinity Bryant. The Grand County Red Devils escaped with a win on Saturday against the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs by the margin of a single free throw, 44-43 thanks in part to Bryant, who posted 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played.

The win was the third in a row for Grand County, bringing their record for this year to 10-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Gunnison Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season.

Grand County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-31 victory against Monticello on the 28th. As for Gunnison Valley, they and North Sevier will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Sevier has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
