Soccer Recap: Lewisville's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

If Lewisville was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lower Richland last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lewisville Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Governor's School for Science & Math Eagles on Tuesday. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Lions couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Marcel Fee, who's now up to nine this season.

The defeat snapped Lewisville's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three matchups. As for Governor's School for Science & Math, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Lewisville will challenge York Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Governor's School for Science & Math, they will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on Trinity Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
