Baseball Recap: Cactus Takes a Loss

Cactus lost against Estrella Foothills on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cobras came up short against the Wolves, falling 14-2.

Cactus saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raven Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Cactus' loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Estrella Foothills, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cactus will challenge Sahuarita at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cobras surely won't give up without a fight. As for Estrella Foothills, they will take on Paradise Honors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season.
