Basketball Game Preview: Mountain View Lobos vs. Riverside Rangers

The Mountain View Lobos will challenge the Riverside Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mountain View comes in on nine and Riverside on four.

On Friday, Mountain View got the win against Clint by a conclusive 41-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jenny Torres, who shot 55% from the field en route to 15 points and four steals. Torres has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Natalia Salas, who posted ten points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds.

Mountain View smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in 11 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Riverside beat Fabens 43-34 on Friday.

The win got Riverside back to even at 15-15. As for Mountain View, their record now sits at 21-11.

Mountain View was able to grind out a solid victory over Riverside in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 39-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lobos since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
