East Ascension waltzed into their game  on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   6-5 W against the Dutchtown Griffins. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the   9-6 win the Griffins walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2024.
  Cayden Tullier was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Avery Stevens, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  RBI.
East Ascension pushed their record up to 11-7 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Dutchtown, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record  this season.
 East Ascension will take on St. Joseph's Academy in a tournament  on Saturday. St. Joseph's Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.86  runs per game on average), something East Ascension will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Dutchtown, they will face off against Brusly at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Brusly will roll in looking for their  11th straight  win, something Dutchtown surely won't give up without a fight.
