Baseball Recap: Cedar Bluff Takes a Loss

Cedar Bluff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Spring Garden Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-5 loss two weeks ago.

Caleb Edmondson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Cedar Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11-1. As for Spring Garden, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Cedar Bluff will challenge West End at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Spring Garden, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-4 loss against Ranburne on the 12th.
