Baseball Recap: Coalfield Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Coalfield can now relate to. They fell just short of the Eagleville Eagles by a score of 6-5 on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Luke Treece made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. Bo Wilson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs.

Coalfield's defeat dropped their record down to 30-7. As for Eagleville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Coalfield nor Eagleville have any future games scheduled.
