Soccer Recap: Wynne Takes a Loss

Wynne lost against Brookland back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Bearcats, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Wynne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Brookland are ranked 16th).

With the defeat, Wynne broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4-2. As for Brookland, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season.

Wynne has already played their next matchup (against Episcopal), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Brookland, they are taking a road trip to square off against Westside at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
