Mountain Heritage had won two straight road games and Maggie Neill did her part to make it three on Thursday. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-36 win over the Erwin Warriors for which the team can thank Neill, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. Neill is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

Mountain Heritage's record now sits at 3-0. As for Erwin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain Heritage will head out to square off against A.C. Reynolds at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Erwin, they will venture away from home to face off against Smoky Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
