Soccer Game Preview: Tracy vs. Kimball

The Tracy Bulldogs will square off against the Kimball Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tracy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.

Tracy took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let West onto the board and left with a 5-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit West with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Olivia Sams (2), Alysabeth Saenz (2), and Isabella Cordero.

Meanwhile, Kimball's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged St. Mary's out 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Jaguars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 765th, while the Rams are ranked 55th).

Tracy pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four contests. As for Kimball, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-3-1.

Everything went Tracy's way against Kimball when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Tracy made off with a 3-0 win. Will Tracy repeat their success, or does Kimball have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
