Winfield has gone a perfect 4-0 against Charleston Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Generals will head out to square off against the Irish at 6:00 p.m.

Buffalo hit Winfield with a five-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Generals fell 8-4 to the Bison. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Preston Keiffer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Cruz Davis also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Charleston Catholic entered their tilt with Williamstown on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Yellowjackets. Considering the Irish have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Winfield's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Charleston Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Winfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Charleston Catholic in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
