Soccer Game Preview: Ripley vs. Byhalia

The Ripley Tigers and the Byhalia Indians will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ripley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

It was a proper cat-fight when Ripley challenged South Pontotoc on Thursday. The Tigers came up short against the Cougars, falling 6-0.

Meanwhile, Byhalia hadn't done well against Strayhorn recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Indians came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 5-3. The high-scoring effort was just what Byhalia needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Ripley's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Byhalia, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-3.
