Soccer Recap: Morris Gets the Win

Morris and LaSalle-Peru pushed the score to 7-2 the last time they played LaSalle-Peru, but on Monday defenses reigned supreme. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Morris who was credited with the win. Morris got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers' two. Morris' winning goal came courtesy of Kenzie Ahearn.

The victory made it two in a row for Morris and bumps their season record up to 2-2-1. As for LaSalle-Peru, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Morris wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 5-1 loss against Ottawa on the 8th. As for LaSalle-Peru, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-1 defeat against Sycamore on the 8th.
