Volleyball Recap: Blackduck Takes a Loss

If Blackduck was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Win-E-Mac on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Drakes came up short against the Nevis Tigers on Thursday, falling 3-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Drakes' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

While Blackduck was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Nevis' winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-22.

Blackduck's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Nevis, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Blackduck has already played their next contest (against Clearbrook-Gonvick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Nevis, they will square off against Browerville at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
