Overhills hadn't done well against Triton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Overhills Jaguars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Triton Hawks, sneaking past 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 last Tuesday.

Darren Ludwick was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That run was his first of the season.

The victory got Overhills back to even at 2-2. As for Triton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Overhills didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-2 defeat against Terry Sanford on the 11th. As for Triton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-1 win against E.E. Smith on the 11th.
