Football Game Preview: Plainfield Central Wildcats vs. Plainfield East Bengals + How To Watch

The Plainfield Central Wildcats will venture away from home to take on the Plainfield East Bengals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Plainfield Central hasn't scored more than seven points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

It was a proper cat-fight when Plainfield Central duked it out with Joliet West on Friday. The Wildcats came up short against the Tigers, falling 31-7. The Wildcats were down 24-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Plainfield East and Romeoville, and Plainfield East kept the tradition alive. The Bengals took down the Spartans 30-13 on Friday.

Plainfield Central better keep an eye on David Croom. He was instrumental in Plainfield East's win, rushing for 222 yards and two touchdowns. They are undefeated when Croom posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.

Plainfield East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 231 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Plainfield East's defense made their presence known, laying out Richard Conley three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Ryan Sizemore, Colin Dominiak, and Hugh Callaghan, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Plainfield East's record is now 5-3. As for Plainfield Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Plainfield Central couldn't quite get it done against Plainfield East when the teams last played back in September of 2024 as they fell 16-6. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
