Baseball Recap: Newbury Park Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Newbury Park can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Agoura Chargers, sneaking past 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Chargers last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Davis Trudeau spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cole Munyon, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Newbury Park's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Carson Richter, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
