Baseball Game Preview: Fairfield Knights vs. Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers

The Fairfield Knights will square off against the Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Fairfield fell victim to Biglerville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Canners, falling 10-0. The Knights have struggled against the Canners recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Steelton-Highspire also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 16-0 to East Pennsboro on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Steamrollers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15-1. As for Steelton-Highspire, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Fairfield took their win against Steelton-Highspire in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 28-1 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Steamrollers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
