Baseball Recap: Sandy Snags 12th Victory in Last 15 Games

There's no place like home for Sandy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Clackamas Cavaliers on Tuesday by a score of 1-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pioneers have posted since April 22nd.

The result came thanks to Brayden Sievertsen's shutout, as he gave up just a hit.

On the hitting side, Sandy's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kobe Sparks, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Sandy has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Clackamas, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-8.

Looking ahead, Sandy will venture away from home to take on West Linn at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd. Clackamas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
