Volleyball Recap: Mohave Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a Battle of the Birds when Mohave challenged Flagstaff on Monday. The Thunderbirds came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Thunderbirds just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-9, 25-12.

Elvineah Kannu paced Mohave's offense, picking up three kills. Kannu got some help from Miley Anderson and her four assists. Finally, Taylor Pilcher kept Mohave's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Mohave's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Flagstaff, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mohave is set to challenge their familiar foe Coconino at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Flagstaff will face off against rival Mingus at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
