Baseball Recap: Altamont Indians vs. Farina South Central Cougars
Altamont fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Farina South Central on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 7-6. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Keegan Schultz put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in May of 2024. He was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two doubles. That home run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Brayden Elam was cooking despite his team's loss, going 4-for-6 with one home run and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Kade Milleville was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances.
