Softball Recap: Harlan Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Harlan's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Marshall Rams by a score of 7-4. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Harlan got a great performance from Aubrey Flores as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over 6.1 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Flores has posted since back in February.

At the plate, Harlan saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amathyst Gonzalez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Another was Gabby Gutierrez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Harlan pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Marshall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Harlan has already played their next match, a 13-1 victory against Holmes on the 4th. As for Marshall, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against Brennan on the 4th.
