Soccer Game Preview: Trinity Episcopal vs. Collegiate

Trinity Episcopal hasn't had much luck against Collegiate recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Trinity Episcopal is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand Saint John Paul the Great Catholic a 3-0 shutout. Eila Crumlish had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Trinity Episcopal.

Meanwhile, Collegiate strolled into their game on Thursday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over St. Anne's-Belfield. The result was nothing new for Collegiate, who have now won 14 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Collegiate pushed their record up to 19-0-1 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 62 goals over those 13 contests. As for Trinity Episcopal, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10-4.

Trinity Episcopal might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from Collegiate in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
