Basketball Recap: Bathgate Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Young Women's Leadership, Bathgate was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy 26-24. For Bathgate, this counts as revenge for the 42-26 victory Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.

Bathgate's win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Bathgate will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against South Bronx at 4:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Archimedes at 4:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
