It was a good run, but Winfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Marion County Red Raiders by a score of 2-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Pirates' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Marion County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-16.

Winfield has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Brilliant on the 11th. As for Marion County, they will square off against Phillips at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
