Dowagiac waltzed into their contest on Thursday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They put the hurt on the Coloma Comets with a sharp 12-1 win. The Chieftains might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 games by six runs or more this season.
Bree Campbell made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
