Soccer Game Preview: Sherman vs. Mingo Central

The Sherman Tide will face off against the Mingo Central Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Sherman fell victim to Sissonville and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

Meanwhile, Mingo Central came into Thursday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their defense stepped up to hand Westside a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Mingo Central were the better team in the second half.

Sherman's loss dropped their record down to 13-2-5. As for Mingo Central, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-11-1.
