Volleyball Recap: Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs vs. Canon City Tigers

Pueblo Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Canon City Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17.

Canon City was led to victory by Lauryn Vineyard and Sol Manjarrez. Vineyard had six digs and three aces, while Manjarrez had three aces. Manjarrez is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season.

Pueblo Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Canon City, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Pueblo Centennial's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pueblo Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canon City, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Air Academy on the 12th.
