Mobile Christian and UMS-Wright Prep are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Leopards will take on the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Mobile Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against St. Paul's Episcopal on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Saints by a score of 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Leopards have lost by just one run.

Michael Harper was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Noah Blackburn was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. Aiden Gaston was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, UMS-Wright Prep narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Excel 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Mobile Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-20. As for UMS-Wright Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 18-13.

Mobile Christian couldn't quite get it done against UMS-Wright Prep in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-4. Can the Leopards avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
