Baseball Recap: Ripon Gets the Win

Ripon came out on top against Kimball on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Indians walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Jaguars. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.

Hunter Weber made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over 6.2 innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Ripon's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Kimball, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Ripon will host Bret Harte at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kimball, they will take on Northgate at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
