Softball Recap: Trinity Presbyterian Wins Going Away Against Pike County

Trinity Presbyterian won the last time they faced Pike County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats were the clear victor by a 16-6 margin over the Pike County Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Micaiah Shelton was incredible, firing off five runs, two triples, and five RBI while going 5-for-5. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Emma Rose Meldrum was another key player, scoring four runs while going 3-for-4.

Shelton wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Trinity Presbyterian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They got six more hits than Pike County's also-impressive total of 13.

Trinity Presbyterian's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Pike County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Coincidentally, Trinity Presbyterian and Pike County will both be playing Autauga Academy the next time they take the field. Trinity Presbyterian will head out to face Autauga Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Pike County will head out to face them on Monday.
