Baseball Recap: Nease's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Nease's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Chiles Timberwolves by a score of 9-4. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 5-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Nease got a big performance out of Ryder Janik, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those three hits gave Janik a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jude Gerosa, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Nease was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Nease's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Chiles, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7.

Nease will have a chance to go back-to-back against Chiles: the pair will be back at it again later today.
