Football Game Preview: Sandy Creek Comets vs. Dolgeville Blue Devils

The Sandy Creek Comets will square off against the Dolgeville Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sandy Creek came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by Lowville and fell 53-20. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 327th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, Dolgeville beat Cato-Meridian 30-22 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for Dolgeville in their matchups with Cato-Meridian: they've now won six in a row.

Dolgeville's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Sandy Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Sandy Creek skirted past Dolgeville 14-12 when the teams last played back in September of 2023. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
