Baseball Recap: Eastern Hancock Royals vs. Blue River Valley Vikings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Knightstown, Eastern Hancock was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Blue River Valley Vikings. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Eastern Hancock has managed all season.

Carson Borden was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Borden was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with a home run, two runs, and a stolen base.

In other pitching news, Eastern Hancock got a great performance from Aidan Morris as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

Back at the plate, Eastern Hancock let Caleb Retherford and Colton Dishman loose on the outfield. Retherford scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Dishman scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Chase Stewart, who went 2-for-2 with two RBI.

As for Blue River Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Muncie Burris at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
