Softball Recap: Valley Union Comes Up Short

If Valley Union was feeling good fresh off their 22-16 takedown of Baboquivari last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Valley Union Blue Devils came up short against the Bisbee Pumas on Tuesday, falling 23-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Valley Union now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bisbee, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Coming up, Valley Union will be playing in front of their home fans against San Simon at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Valley Union has given up an average of 15.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Bisbee, they will take on Douglas in a tournament on Friday.
