Mount Juliet came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 66-45 margin over the McGavock Raiders. Given the Golden Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Raiders are ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mount Juliet's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points over those games. As for McGavock, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.
