After flying high against Del Rio on Tuesday, Medina Valley came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 6-3 to the Rams on Thursday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Medina Valley got a good showing from Justin Mayen, who pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mayen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Medina Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Phillips, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Shaun Anderson was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Medina Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Del Rio, with the win, they broke their 17-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-18.
