Baseball Recap: Del Valle Takes a Loss

Del Valle dropped their record down to 18-9 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the El Dorado Aztecs by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Conquistadores couldn't push the score so high this time.

Del Valle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was BRYAN GARCIA, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

As for El Dorado, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-16 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since March 25th.

On El Dorado's side, Gael Soto looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The Aztecs are 8-3 when Soto allows two or fewer earned runs, but 4-13 otherwise.

While Del Valle had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
