Football Game Preview: Dunedin Falcons vs. North Miami Beach Chargers

After each having a week off, the Dunedin Falcons and the North Miami Beach Chargers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Dunedin is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 50 points back in October, they were much more limited against Palm Harbor University last Thursday. They were dealt a 35-7 loss at the hands of the Hurricanes. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 427th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 204th).

Dunedin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ethan Shipley, Pierce Adkins, and Jeff Lowe picked up one apiece. Matthan Hill was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, North Miami Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-14 heartbreaker at the hands of Neumann. While the Chargers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Celtics 7-0.

North Miami Beach's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Dunedin, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 4-6.
