Petrolia had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They put the hurt on the Electra Tigers with a sharp 18-2 win. Considering the Pirates have won seven contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Petrolia's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Electra, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Petrolia will head out to face off against Archer City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Electra, they will venture away from home to challenge Olney at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Electra is facing Olney at the right time seeing as Olney is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
