Basketball Game Preview: Warren Central Vikings vs. Callaway Chargers

Warren Central is 2-7 against Callaway since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Warren Central Vikings will head out to take on the Callaway Chargers at 6:00 p.m.

Warren Central is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Friday. They were dealt a 65-22 loss at the hands of Neshoba Central. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

Meanwhile, Callaway had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They put the hurt on the Gators with a sharp 70-50 win. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Callaway pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Warren Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Warren Central took a serious blow against Callaway in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 66-28. Can Warren Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
