Basketball Recap: Lake Mary Comes Up Short

Lake Mary played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 56-24 loss at the hands of the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Barracudas are ranked 15th).

Lake Mary's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for New Smyrna Beach, their record is now 13-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Mary and Forest will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for New Smyrna Beach, they will take on Palm Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
