Recap: Leroy Bears vs. Millry Wildcats

The Leroy Bears put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They didn't even let Millry onto the board and left with a 26-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Leroy, who have now won seven contests by 26 points or more so far this season.

Brayden Huebner looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 171 yards and two touchdowns on only seven passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Howell, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.

Leroy's victory was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 9-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Shields and 0-10 Shields (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36.7% over those games). As for Millry, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leroy will take on Washington County at TBD on Thursday. Washington County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 341st, while Leroy is ranked 132nd). Millry will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Notasulga at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Notasulga has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 160 points over their last four matches.
