After low-scoring totals in their previous seven matchup, Monessen brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Everything went their way against the Geibel Catholic Gators on Monday as they made off with a 15-4 win. Surprisingly, this marked the Greyhounds' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Daniel Towler was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jakob Dell, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Monessen's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-13. As for Geibel Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Monessen has already played their next contest (against Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Geibel Catholic, they will head out to square off against Keystone Oaks at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
