Volleyball Recap: Hayward Starts Season with Victory Against Amery

Hayward had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out the Amery Warriors 2-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Hurricanes' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Hayward who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 24-26, 15-13.

Coincidentally, Hayward and Amery will both be playing New Richmond the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Tigers at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hurricanes will play them later in the day, at 5:15 p.m.
