Fairland was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Chesapeake on Wednesday. The Dragons were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Panthers. The high-scoring effort was just what the Dragons needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Nolan Fleming made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Cyrus Cummings was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Thomas, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Fairland's record now sits at 7-16. As for Chesapeake, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.

Fairland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chesapeake, they will challenge Huntington at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
